SOUNDIRON has Released four libraries since June and decided to include them in one big post since we somehow overlooked them.
The Newest Release:
Bontabulous Fabtraption captures the vintage analog sounds of the unique Bontempi HP 544-20. This Italian synthesizer was introduced to the market in the late 1970s. It featured a 49-key keyboard and drum/rhythm machine, as well as a variety of knobs and faders to control layer volume, instrument type, envelope, modulation and filter.
Our Bontabulous includes synth sustains, staccatos, piano, violin, and “Magic Chords” dialed in from the organ. We also sampled 34 tempo-syncable drum machine loops. We recorded the instrument articulations in wide stereo and direct line in. After that, we crafted twenty evolving atmospheric pads from the source content to enhance versatility. Bontabulous offers a time-traveling aural preview of the historic Bontempi line of products, complete with rich tonal colors ready to enhance any genre of composition.
We’ve packed the GUI with lots of great sound-shaping controls that give you the flexibility to warp the sound in many ways. You have control over Volume, Attack, Release, Transient Offset, Vibrato and Octave layering. The "Glide" control slider allows you to play legato and portamento leads. You’ll also find an adaptable LFO system, with selectable LFO shape, modulation target parameter, speed, intensity, tempo-syncing and fade-in time. You can also apply your choice of 13 lowpass, high-pass and FX filter, with assignable modulation control options, including velocity, modwheel, expression, after-touch, key position and step-sequencer table control. You can also use our customizable arpeggiator, with a built-in velocity sequencer table and control over arp direction, note timing, swing, randomization and duration.

In true Soundiron fashion, we tinkered to stretch canjo’s sonic abilities to its limits, capturing fully playable picked plucks, smooth plucks, harsh plucks, slides, bowed sustains, staccatos, and spiccatos. After that, we created a wide selection of ambient soundscapes, pads, and drones from the source content to make the library even more versatile. This canjo is equally comfortable playing traditional Americana, or masquerading as a convincing brittle viola, cheap slide guitar, or melancholy erhu.
Ancient Greek Winds is a collection of nine carefully-sampled traditional Greek woodwind instruments capturing the essence of the classical Hellenistic period. This group of restored artifacts includes single and double-reeded aulos flutes from bass to alto, as well as conch shell horns, brass salpinx horn, pan flute and plagiaulos. Each instrument is fully playable, with sustains, staccatos, true legato, dynamic expressions and effects tailored to its specific characteristics. Ancient Greek Winds is the perfect melodic complement to our Ancient Greek Strings and Ancient Greek Percussion libraries. Each instrument was hand-crafted using period-accurate methods, building materials, and tools by the Athens-based historical research group LyrΑvlos, led by Panagiotis Stefos. Fashioned from wood, reeds, conch shells, and bronze, these musical treasures faithfully explore the distant musical past and would be right at home in the hands of bronze age musicians over 2,500 years ago.
Every instrument was recorded in precise detail by producer John Valasis, with round-robin variations and multiple dynamics and voicings. You'll enjoy our flexible GUI features and a wide selection of chromatic and special effect articulations. The interface provides complete performance controls, including true legato response control, simulated portamento bending, arpeggiator, flexible step-sequencable filter and LFO systems and a modular DSP FX rack to shape your sound however you wish. We’ve also created 20 unique sound-designed ambiences directly from the raw acoustic source recordings to give you added texture and even more creative potential. Ancient Greek Winds includes 3,517 24-bit 48kHz stereo samples and weighs in at just over 4 GB.

Each volume focuses on a new vocalist with a distinct creative style and comes complete with a full package of vital chromatic and melodic articulations that sound great and are easy and convenient to use in any music or video production project that comes your way. This edition focuses on the crisp and spirited mezzo-soprano voice of Connie Doolan. Her cheerful, silky, and polished vocal character effortlessly fuses jazz, cabaret, folk, blues, pop, and musical theater vocal styles.
This 2.88 GB library includes over 3,300 samples, featuring sustain, staccato (8x round-robin) and true legato chromatic articulations for 6 core vowels: Ah, Eh, Ee, Mm, Oh and Oo. It also includes over a thousand live dynamic, melodic phrases organized by mood, key and tempo. This huge collection of live phrases are divided into 100bpm and 140bpm tempos for both Bright and Dark categories, as well as a special 120bpm Hummed category. We’ve also included 20 sound-designed custom FX and ambient presets to expand your creative palette. It all comes together in a complete, efficient and deeply-refined toolbox of chromatic articulations and powerful melodic elements with tempo-syncing and key options, all built into a flexible, full-featured user interface.
