When I heard there was a group of
programmers called the ESC (European Sound Collective) that created a tribute
library for the legendary PluginGuru (John “Skippy” Lehmkuhl) who started sound
designing in the late 80's, I got really excited. John Lehmkuhl has put a lot
of work in teaching his talents to others. He has done music, sound
rhythm and remix programming for many top musicians like Hans Zimmer, James
Newton Howard, Harry Gregson-Williams, Kenny Loggins, Fleetwood Mac, Madonna,
Mariah Carey, Whitney Huston, and Richard Marx- just to name a few.
The ESC group decided they were going to thank John and
build a new Omnisphere 2 Soundset Library as a Tribute to sound designing
master PluginGuru. The ESC is a collective of incredible sound designers and
composers.
Even though there are more than 16 members currently part
of the ESC, these are the names of the 16 who contributed to this library:
Burny Huber (Holland), Gareth Adonai (Germany), Tim Dale (Wales), Wolfgang
Stindl aka Ikarus (Austria), Florian Gerger aka Clark Parker (Germany), Harald
Geyer (Germany), Jan Bakker (Belgium), Henrik J. Larsen aka JX3D (Danmark),
Darius Jambor aka Wizmos (Poland), Marcel Krapels aka Prikwol (Holland), Anton
Anru (Russia), Stephan Baer(Zwitzerland), Marius Janssen (Germany), Henrik
Johanson aka Henky, Airwave aka Laurent Veronnez, Adam Henderson aka Caxa.
The library consists of 250 patches with
50 sound sources and requires Omnisphere 2.1 or later.
REVIEW
To be honest, I wanted this library so
badly to live up to its name. However, I approached it with a neutral unbiased
approach. Even though I was a huge fan of John the PluginGuru, I wondered if
the sound designers could really produce a worthy tribute and pull this off.
With fingers crossed I unzipped the file, imported it into Omnisphere 2, and
took a deep breath. I knew damn well this was going to be a long session. No
matter how long it took I was going to sit there and audition every patch in
this library. Next to me, I had a pot of coffee brewed and my monitors turned
up. I began with first folder ARP+BPM and holy cow did it hit me, this is
sounding powerful, but will it stay strong. Folder after folder I played and
when I landed in the Pads+Strings folder I almost choked on my coffee. The
patches were so lush, full and rich with emotional character that I didn't want
to stop playing them. The production level of this library is top notch and
obviously has been developed with the PluginGuru standards. This is an absolute
astonishing tribute that really showcases these sound designer’s talents. I
can't wait to see what the ESC releases next, I'm sure it will be a tour
de force. It must feel great to have sixteen Luke Skywalkers show off their
jedi sound design skills to the great Obi Wan Kenobi. Sorry for the Star Wars
pun but I couldn't help but think what a great gift to receive from such
talented individuals who have learned something from John's Youtube videos. I
feel this library is worth so much more than its regular price point. It not
only contains a huge amount of stunning material, but it offers patches that
can be used in all kinds of genres of music. Everything from killer vintage synth sounds to modern scoring textures, you'll find it here. Another part of the library I really liked was that it contains 50 new sound sources which is a combination of 100% original and some are from other PlugInGuru Sample libraries (Del Norte EDM / MegaMagic: Viola / MegaMagic: Pads, and more.
If you want to hear every patch in this library, I recorded a video below that is over 2 hours and 48 minutes long auditioning every patch. This is a tribute library that really lives up to its name and is not an Omnisphere library you should think twice about buying. 5 out of 5 stars!!

Cloud Atlas received a 5 out of 5 star rating in the review from Sample Sound Review!
“As I got myself
ready to review this new soundset I tried to set my expectations low
since the last 2 soundsets (Empty Fields F.2 and Journeys) earned a
perfect score. What does it sound like? Amazing! Even though I have
never read the Cloud Atlas book I felt like I was on an exclusive choose
your own adventure of imagery with each patch. Each preset seems to
tell its own story and anyone composing films or games will truly
discover some new and unique sounds coming out of the synthesis of
Omnisphere 2.

Morph is the latest sample pack from Audiomodern that comes in 623MB collection of samples divided into 7 categories: Melodics, Bass, Mutated Beats, Percussion, FX Textures, Synth Pads and One-Shots.
Audiomodern states it was created with a variety of synths, tape deck re-sampling, and outboard processing to achieve that lo-fi vibe. I can't agree with them more- it sounds so authentic and fresh. The thing about Audiomodern is they have a style that can't be duplicated for the most part. I have heard some sample companies try to get that glitchy, mutated, rhythmic sound but it never sounds quite as good as Audiomodern. Their beats and loops are beyond this world when it comes to their sound design approach. You hear things sampled that you would never think could be created into such a powerful catchy groove. There are more than 160 Loops and 30 One Shots in this collection. The key and tempo have been labeled and if you want to hear every 24bit wav file then watch the video below I created. If you are looking for samples that have that lo-fi, retro but with a current sound - get this! Whether you're doing ambient, chill-out, synthwave, or composing a hot underscore, you will find something here.
One other thing I need to point out, is that I took some of the wav files and imported them into Iris 2 and the almighty Omnisphere 2. I created some absolute stunning killer patches with limitless possibilities. So, sample packs can be turned into a sound of your own and something never heard before. Morph by Audiomodern is original, full of unique sounds and loops with a price that's right.
Composer and Sound Designer Jaap Visser of 'Triple Spiral Audio' is one of the hardest working sound designers I've seen in quite some time. He started his company in August 2017 and has managed to release soundsets for Zebra 2, The Dark Zebra, Diva, Falcon, Iris 2, Serum, and of course my favorite Omnisphere 2.

Just before releasing this review there were
a total of 200 presets, 20 multis and 120 soundsources but now I just got word that there will be a Free update for this library making it ( 225 presets and 50 multis sometime at the end of June or early July 2018)
The other information I want to note about Cloud Atlas is that you can get 50 extra bonus presets and 10 additional multis if you're an owner of the Season Passwhich gives you access to all the new releases from the period June 2018 'till June 2019, which I think is a phenomenal deal.

the 11th category.
Cloud Atlas is not just another success from Triple Spiral
Audio it's a monumental feat of sound design expertise. I not only had a blast
with Cloud Atlas, but I had an expedition in wonderment. Before wrapping up
this review I must state the bonus presets for season pass owners is a must own
in my opinion. These bonus presets are not substandard throw in patches. These
are incredibly worth the price of admission for getting the season pass. Triple Spiral Audio has the reputation in delivering exceptional content which makes owning the season pass invaluable. Again, if you're unsure

REVIEW
Before playing Omnisphere Ylem II, I was wondering if a soundset with only 2 categories 'textures playable' and 'textures soundscapes' was going to offer anything substantial, even if it has a fair and reasonable price point. I have so many soundsets for Omnisphere 2, I was worried that I heard it all before. If you're not familiar with Gahrn Audio, it's a sound design company owned and operated by composer, producer, and sound designer Claus Gahrn . So before pressing the first note on my keyboard, I had hoped for something special. Believe me, when I say, I can tell when a patch has been lazily created or when someone actually put some heart behind their creation. I'm here to say it's not quantity but quality here. Omnisphere Ylem II dropped any concern I had about a library that has only 50 patches in 2 categories. When I continued playing the presets I realized I was totally engrossed in another world. This set does what it's supposed to do- engross the listener. When I play an instrument I imagine the story that can be told by it on film.
Ylem II conjured up multiple scenes of dread, suspense, fear, sadness, hope, and even serenity. Some of the patches had a perfect mix of atmosphere and lo-fi giving the listener and composer the perfect gritty underscore for a dystopian world like moving picture. Whether your composing films, games or writing darker ambient music you will find an incredible use of Ylem II. The only downside to owning Ylem II is that you are going to want first Ylem. Gahrn Audio even offers some free demo download patches of this soundset making this a no-brainer to check out for yourself. I have made a video below that auditions every patch if you would like to check out. Omnisphere Ylem II is a 5 out of 5 Stars.

Ceres (4GB)
“Ceres” is the first of the Celestial Voices, by Auddict, featuring the soaring, ethereal vocals of singer, Tanya Wells. Tanya’s flawless vocals, trained and refined in India, have taken her performing at the Cannes Film Festival for Anoushka Shankar, opening for Joss Stone, Nitin Sawhneyand Nicki Wells (her twin sister), as well as recording vocals for the 2014 movie “Hercules”.
Auddict wanted to make this instrument even more musical, so they came up with the idea of the phrase builder module. With the phrase-builder, which you can see in the Kontakt interface, you can shape your musical phrase by using a key-switch to determine how the first note of a phrase will be sung.
You can also switch as you play, between normal legato intervals, and portamento intervals, each individually sampled for all four vowels, giving a total of eight true legato sounds, as well as adding touches of vibrato in with the controls (MIDI map-able), to add an extra level of depth, variety and belief to your sound.
Here is a full list of available articulations:
Legato, Portamento and Vibrato controls
Chest, Prescence and Air controls
Mordents, Up Bends, Down Bends, Turns and Crescendos
As well as the phrase-builder, there are five more sets of individually playable sounds available, also select-able via a key-switch mapped to your keyboard. These are:
Whispers – Soft whispered vowels, great for adding both eerie and spiritual levels to your music, particularly film/game score music.
Ornament – A slightly more complex ornament recorded on each note for extra musical embellishment.
Phrases – Short phrases sung, recorded, and mapped to each key, which make musical sense when played one after another.
Long & Short Swells – True sampled crescendo / diminuendo samples, timed together so you can play poly-phonically, and the dynamics of each sample will remain perfectly matched throughout. These are perfect for adding a real expressive, human sound to your music.
As you can see, the range of controls available is very comprehensive, allowing you to craft your own sound and making this library well suited to all types of music, from Epic Trailer tracks to intimate solo vocals!

Create the perfect sounds, sequence them all together and then create an intro, verse, chorus, bridge, middle 8, fills and outros all inside the system!
6 Distinct Modules – Complete Control of Your Sound!
Each multi instrument in “Hypernode” is called a “style” and can be seen like a whole song complete with intro, chorus, verse and so on. You can edit any part, any section and / or sounds of each multi to your liking. You have an accompaniment section where you can play up to three-note chords, a drum section as well as additional parts like bass, pad and harmony. Hypernode ships with over 600 factory sounds (24 bit, 44 khz), ranging from keys and guitars to synthesizer waveforms and hybrids and you can edit every aspect of the included sounds down to the smallest detail utilizing filters, envelopes, lfo’s and effects. All instruments offer flexible sequencers, automation, five freely assignable insert effect slots, convolution reverb and more, you can even modulate insert effect parameters via the included sequencers! There are also eight switchable patterns – which results in a total of 512 sequencing tables for the accompaniment module alone!
Accompaniment & Bass Modules
Accompaniment Module The Accompaniment module is by far the most powerful and the true heart of Hypernode. All the magic starts when you press more than one note at the same time (e.g. a three-note chord). Hypernode Accompaniment will then instantly sort all pressed notes from low to high as you play and map them to the three built-in note sequencers (low, mid and high) at the top section. Each Hypernode Accomp note section (low, mid, high) features a selectable output FX BUS, a harmony hold function which causes the first pressed note(s) to stay at the same pitch as long as the “H” button is pressed. Furthermore there is a table loop button and a set of functions to edit and modify the current table. You can also quickly nudge tables left or right and erase or randomize them. Each note section offers control over the amplifier and filter envelope, panning, volume, velocity to volume amount, filter cutoff, resonance, filter type (sweeping from lowpass to highpass) and filter envelope amount. Sounds for the individual note sections can be chosen by category – Atonal, Wave(form), String, Wind, Pluck and Voice. Each note section can play two sounds at the same time. Did we mention that for each of the eight switchable patterns sounds can be set individually? Bass Module Filled to the brim with 128 different driving, gritty electronic basslines, this module provides the foundation to all your compositions, and just like all the other modules this one can be endlessly tweaked to suit your needs!
“Hypernode” is a powerful, feature rich plugin filled to the brim with inspiring presets that will give you endless inspiration for your next track. It is extremely versatile and well suited to all sorts of music, including but not limited to:
Pop
Dance
Ambient
Chillout
Downtempo
