REVIEW

SampleTraxx is no stranger to releasing top tier sound tools and sample libraries. They were founded in 2015 by sound design artist Alessandro Romeo, whose work has been featured in a whole host of major motion pictures, video games, and more. Some of the films and video games that have used Sampletraxx are Blade Runner 2049, War of the Planet of the Apes,  Jigsaw, Halo 5, Battlefield, Alien Covenant, Geostorm, Overwatch, and more. With this many major studio credits, one can assume how high their sound production value
must be.

That leads me to their latest release 'Rituals' a collaborated effort with legendary electronic musician, composer, and sound designer Si Begg.
There are 16 categories and 550 sounds that consist of phrases, soundscapes, glitches, heavy-hits, textures, benders, strings, synths, risers, tick-tocks, pulses, and everything else you need to send a chill down someone's spine.

The samples are production ready and are in WAV format. There are many possibilities using and manipulating WAV samples. These can be used, as a simple drag and drop into your DAW or you can get even more creative by importing them into your favorite sampler or sample-based synthesizer.
In the 'Dark Textures' folder, there are some samples that run a lengthy 30 to 44 seconds.  Also, within the horror loops folder, the majority of loops are divided into three separate tempos 120, 140, and 150.  I found that all the samples in this soundpack work together seamlessly. Nothing ever sounded as if it didn't fit together.

Rituals contain the perfect dark elements to use within a horror film, video game, trailer or brooding cinematic production.  So, if you have a deadline, this pack is essential. If you'd like to hear how great it sounds, check out the Sampletraxx video auditioning random sounds. I think you will agree it's well worth the price.

Below that video, I created a short demo track showing off the small potential of this sound library.
The thing is, the demo only took me about 20 minutes to create. If that's not enough, check out the awe-inspiring Sampletraxx 'Rituals' Soundcloud audio demos.
The only thing I have left to say is, these are horror & tension sound tools that are of the highest caliber. The content in this collection is extensive and provides you with all the designed elements to drive that fear home.

Rituals is a must have for your next foreboding, terrifying, and beautifully dreadful composition.

5 Out of 5 Stars !
