a performance-ready drum instrument built to bring golden-era character to modern scoring and

Heavyocity developed Brickwall Drums with producer, engineer, and bassist, Jon Evans, known
for his work with Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan, and Chris Cornell, and New England
Conservatory-trained drummer Matthias Bossi, whose work includes Tom Waits, Mike Patton,
St. Vincent, and The Book of Knots.
Brickwall Drums delivers 22,246 samples, 29 presets, 66
unique drum articulations, and 72 loops across 3 instruments: the Kit Designer, Ensemble
Designer, and Loop Designer. Every sound was carefully tracked through the analog gear that
gave the classic records their warmth, infusing that character in your music the moment you
load it.
The Kit Designer brings Mathias’ custom Allegra kit into your DAW with individual source
controls on every voice. You have control over volume, pan, individual mic positions, and effects
per source. The Ensemble Designer places those same drums onto an interactive stage where
you set each one's place, left to right and near to far, with per-key performance tools for building
rhythmic gestures.
The Loop Designer lets you stack up to 3 independent loop layers, mixing
and matching 72 tempo-synced, beat-sliced patterns to build grooves in seconds. Eight round
robins per voice and 10 dynamic layers track how hard you play, and every velocity shift
reshapes the tone and character of the hit, not just its volume, so no two bars land the same
way.
