Rast Sound announces Soren 1.5, an update to its AI-powered mastering application designed to help creators finalize audio quickly and efficiently. Running entirely locally on macOS and Windows, Soren analyzes audio and performs non-realtime processing to deliver automated mastering results.
Version 1.5 introduces Mix Agent, a new stage that analyzes mixes before mastering and suggests corrective adjustments such as tonal balancing and resonance reduction.
How Soren Works
Soren processes audio offline rather than in real time. The application analyzes the entire track and performs large numbers of calculations to determine tonal balance, dynamics, and loudness decisions before rendering the master.
Users can select genre profiles, upload reference tracks, or choose from built-in references to guide the mastering process. The application then applies processing based on the analyzed properties of the audio.
Version 1.5 also introduces Preview Segment Editing, allowing users to preview mastering results using selected sections of a track for faster testing and iteration.

Soren 1.5 is available now at an introductory price of €149 (regular €249) until April 15, 2026.
The update is free for existing Soren v1 owners.
