Track Referencing
A/B your master against reference tracks directly within any instance of Ozone or its standalone application. Now an integrated process, track referencing is easy, intelligent, and incorporated into Ozone’s workflow. Track referencing in Ozone allows you to load up to 10 tracks and will identify sections of your reference for easy playback like Verse or Chorus, so you can spend less time finding and more time mastering.
Ozone...meet Neutron
The Tonal Balance Control plug-in not only communicates with the Ozone 8 Equalizer and Post EQ modules, but Neutron 2 EQ modules as well. This inter-plugin communication lets you fix mix issues during mastering and helps bridge the mixing and mastering gap. Transient/Sustain Stereo Independence in Ozone’s Maximizer takes your master to the next level by detecting and separating transient and sustain information for a wider, deeper sonic profile. Review:
After playing with this over the weekend I must say it is an awesome upgrade from Ozone 7 if you have the standard or elements edition. If you are a hobbyist or electronic music artist Ozone 7 will probably be all you ever need. However with these extra features in Ozone 8 it will take your mastering to a whole new level while making it easier to diagnose intimate details in your track. If you've never bought an Ozone mastering plugin then this is a no-brainer for mastering- Highest Recommendation! If you have the standard edition or elements edition and are on the fence about upgrading- Get it Now! If you are just wanting to release tracks with minimal work in mastering get Ozone 8 standard or elements. If you already have Ozone 7 elements or standard then this would be a personal choice you will have to decide. Either way the upgrade price on this is worth it while it's on sale.
