Pigments features a twin audio engine, letting you mix virtual analog and wavetable oscillators to create the perfect starting point for your patch. You can even morph wavetables, or import your own.

What you do next is up to you. Experiment with 3 envelopes, 3 LFOs, and 3 function generators. Assign modulators to animate your sound, and breathe life into it. Add controlled, or totally wild random changes to any parameter with a Turing probability generator. Run it through 2 filters, with any combination of iconic analog filters or modern formant and surgeon filters you want. Process your patch with exciting contemporary effects like wavefolder and multi-filter, or vintage studio reverbs, delays, and EQs.

Nordic Noir is a substantial new 3Gb Cinematic Crime, Drama & Action sample library from Zero-G based on, and calling to mind, the great soundtracks from that bleak and beautiful cinematic and TV genre. Nordic Noir is the perfect example of the atmospheric and downbeat music accompanying some of film and TV drama’s most artfully staged scenes of murder, suspense, heartbreak and deceit. StringAudio is one of those companies that continues to release impressive sample libraries that really offer impressive sound design capabilities. Ever since the release of their debut 'Dark Matter' back in 2016, I have been a huge fan. Even though this company has only been around a couple years, they have churned out some truly stunning libraries for Kontakt and Omnisphere 2. I have always been impressed with their Kontakt engine layout. Each instrument is composed of 6 layers and it's extremely efficient on all the CPU's I've ran it on, which makes this a huge plus in getting compositions done fast. Alchemist Cinematic Textures2 has a sound so distinct and full of movement that I’ve never heard duplicated in any other library quite this way. You get a total of 20GB of sample material, 6000+ high-quality samples, and 570+ pre-programmed Snapshots.
